What to do on a Rainy Day on the Gold Coast
When you’re on the Gold Coast and it begins to pour, what should you do? Take in a few of the sites that don’t require a raincoat! And on the Gold Coast, there are a lot, so here are some of our favourite ways to spend a rainy Gold Coast day:
Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre
The Jellurgal Aboriginal Cultural Centre is a great place to take the whole family to learn more about the traditional landowners of the Gold Coast. Discover the area’s dreamtime stories, take in Aboriginal dance performances and find out what life was like on the Gold Coast thousands of years ago.
With seven restaurants, five bars and a variety of stage shows and of course every kind of gaming, you can’t go past a day at Jupiters. Try your luck at one of the tables or enjoy a show by one of the internationally renowned acts.
King Tutts Putt Putt
When it rains on the Gold Coast a day of indoor mini golf is in order! Located on the corner of Surfers Paradise Boulevard & Pandanus Ave, Surfers Paradise, King Tutts Putt Putt features two indoor and one outdoor 18-hole mini golf courses.
Indoor playground cafes
There are a number of indoor playground cafes on the Gold Coast, perfect for when all you feel like doing is relaxing with a hot cuppa while your little ones get active. Abrakidazzle located at Southport is a popular one featuring three levels of play areas with a cafe and Wi-Fi for mum and dad to use.
Indoor rock climbing
Indoor rock climbing is fun for the whole family and at Paramount Adventure Centre Hutchinson Street West Burleigh they cater for everyone from beginners to advanced climbers. With all equipment provided, all you need to do is show up, go through the safety session, and have a great time!
Carlton Brewhouse Tour
