Want to know where to find some of the trendiest new watering holes in and around Sydney? Good Food came up with a list of the hottest places to grab a drink:
Old Joe’s in Cronulla – walk in off the beach for alcohol-spiked milkshakes and spiders, great fish and chips and fresh lobster sambos.
Bucket List in Palm Beach – enjoy spiced fish or shepherd’s-style pork or haloumi accompanied by a margarita or Bloody Mary.
Oxford Tavern in Petersham – a former strip joint that’s been transformed, the pub now serves up delicious tortillas, smoked brisket and sausage, pulled pork and Brontosaurus ribs.
Miss Peaches Soul Food Kitchen in Newtown – New Orleans flavours, including shrimp po boys and rum & raisin root beer floats.
SoCal in Neutral Bay – with a great California feel, including Hawaiian-shirted barmen and an outside terrace.
Ivanhoe Hotel in Manly – enjoy margaritas and Granny Smith cider punch in their recently refurbished rooftop bar.
Spring Street Social in Bondi Junction – a cool basement cocktail bar with truffles soon to be on the menu.
The Lobo Plantation in Clarence Street, city – Cuban inspired bar with rum and barbecued corn husks as a specialty.
Cliff Dive in Darlinghurst – a Papua New Guinea-themed nightclub where cheap rum is the drink of choice.
