Things to Do in Brisbane on School Holiday
January 15th, 2014
School holidays are here, as parents already know. Fortunately, there are now lots of fun activities for kids of all ages in Brisbane.
Some great school holiday activities in Brisbane include:
- Beginner Rock Climbing at Mt. Barney Lodge Retreat. The retreat has three climbs specifically designed for children ages three to twelve — it is a great way to introduce kids to exercise in the outdoors.
- Story Bridge Adventure Climb. Experience some of Brisbane’s best views and get some good exercise on one of the city’s most unique attractions.
- Family Fun at Riverlife. Riverlife offers a wide variety of activities, including biking, rollerblading, kayaking, rock climbing, and abseiling. If you go on Sunday, they hold a traditional Aussie barbeque brunch.
- Haunted Brisbane Ghost Tours. Walking and coach tours of some of Brisbane’s historic sites including the Queen Street Mall, Parliament House, the Council Chambers, and Toowong Cemetery. Come and see why Brisbane is known as the world’s second most haunted city.
There is always a great deal of fun to be had in Brisbane. The city is still one of Australia’s best destinations for family fun and school holidays.
